Sony announced the August PlayStation Plus games will be the all-new multiplayer party game, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remaster. Also announced, a free multiplayer weekend starting on Saturday, August 8th.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout

I am not going to lie, I learned about Fall Guys over a year ago. I immediately tagged two of my best friends on twitter to check out the teaser because we all grew up watching Spike TV’s “MXC – Most eXtreme Elimination Challenge”, a parody of a Japanese game show, Takeshi’s Castle, from the 80’s where contestants dressed up in ridiculous costumes and took on even more ridiculous obstacles. Think Ninja Warrior but on LSD. Well, Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is just that, but in video game form.

Fall Guys: Ultimate knockout will take 60 players into a battle royale competition through physics-based obstacles and team games, until only one player is left standing. For a game that requires 60 players to function, it’s huge for the team at Mediatonic to be able to release on PS Plus. This game is sure to be a blast but you can’t have a blast without players! Be sure to tell all your friends to download and join in on the fun August 4th!

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

Re-play one of gaming’s most controversial levels in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered

On the opposite end of the spectrum, Sony is hitting its fans with another exciting PS Plus title this month in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered. Originally released in 2009, players will be able to relive arguably the most epic, exciting, and controversial Call of Duty single-player campaign to date.

If you’re excited to play then we have some good news, Modern Warfare 2 will be available for download tomorrow, July 28th.

Additionally, a PS Plus subscription will not be required to play online starting on August 8th 12:01 AM through 11:59 August 9th (local time).

Players will have until August 4th to grab July’s games, NBA 2k20 and Rise of Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration
